Here I sit on Tuesday evening struggling to write a blog, which needs to be published tomorrow morning.
I have even played with the idea of not writing a blog. Yet I know that it is important for me to write this blog because I made a commitment to myself and to my husband to write a blog every other week. I also feel a commitment to my friends and other readers who get my blog every other Wednesday morning.
So, I think about my last blog “Safe Alone In The Hallway,” which didn’t do as well as my previous blog, “Relax Everything Is Going To Be Okay.” I’m realizing that perhaps my last blog was too intense for most peoples comfort zone—it was for me writing it. But, I also realize the importance for me to be honest and authentic when I write. What I write about is real life situations that sometimes aren’t as pleasant to write about, or to read. I write about the beliefs that keep me stuck and hidden from my loved ones and from the world.
It is because of my willingness to look at my beliefs from a different perspective that I am who I am today. If we had sunshine all the time without the rain, nothing would grow and nothing would live, not even us. So I hope you continue to enjoy my blogs and all that they entail, and may they give you courage, strength and inspiration when the sun is hard to see through the rain.
